i have been doing the balance transfer to % balance transfer cards for a while so that i can get rid of my card, can someone tell me if you can go back to a card company you have already used if it is still doing the % balance transfer

    Short answer is yes. I have done so with Halifax and mbna after a reasonable period of time.

    thank you for that i will have to change in october as i dont want to use my card so that gives me time to look for another one

    From past experience credit card companies will decline your application if it is within 6 months of the account being settled (closed).

    Also, some credit card companies keep your account open for 6 months after your request to shut it, even if you have a 0 balance.
