I can only repeat my point that you keep missing: 'can use' isn't the same as 'need'.

FlexAccount travel insurance is for up to 75 y.o.

It's not that I am advocating against FlexPlus. I am just making the facts clear.

I'll repeat my point. DS lives in the USA, we go there about three times a year, so need worldwide with USA cover insurance. Also when iPhone uses iMessage for free, we don't have to pay for a top up for our American phone.

I fully understand the comparison and it is a case of 'need', as I don't think we'd get all that for £120 elsewhere.

It's like talking to a wall.

I didn't question your need to have iPhone, although there are many instant messaging (over internet) apps working across all platforms, not only in iOS. And using a UK iPhone in USA isn't "free" unless you are with Three UK and take advantage of their "Feel At Home" option.

As I said, the cheapest full breakdown cover is £39.
As I said, joint worldwide travel insurance costs ~£25 with FlexAccount (amn't sure about age restrictions, but free european insurance is for u76).

    £39+£25=£64

If you really need mobile insurance then indeed £120 for all three is a good value.

Why are you so rude? :(

iPhone to iPhone messaging is free as long as we are on wifi. That means I can message DS or DIL from here for free, let alone when we are in the USA, usually in their home while they are in work.

And thank you, I did the sums and consider the whole package to be one that suits us for a good price,

Everything gets automatically redirected for 13 months including salary / pension credits so no ideal time as such.

FlexPlus seems a good account as you'll use the travel, breakdown and mobile insurances. You'll also get 3% on 2.5k and free overseas ATM withdrawals.

You'll probably be offered the Select Visa card which is useful with 0% commission on US purchases.

I also use iMessage to chat to people abroad, and it's very useful. What grumbler means is that there are alternatives e.g. if you had a different smartphone, you could use free chat applications such as Whatsapp or Telegram, that work the same as iMessage and don't require an iPhone - but that's by the by. If you have an iPhone, great.

It's a great value account if you want all the features. Grumbler doesn't need them, and was just telling you why. As long as you're happy though :)
