Beware --- Vodafone stealing my money!

Three years ago I bought a Vodafone PAYG dongle with £30 on the sim for use when on holiday. As long as I used the sim at least once every 6 months the credit stayed on the phone.
Vodafone have changed this. I can't use my own balance of over £13 unless I pay for a package. The balance will then expire in 30 days. This is no good when I only use it for holidays. I could easily make the balance last another 3 years.
I asked for a refund and was told that I could not have one. The customer services advisor told me I could transfer the balance onto an ordinary PAYG sim, but I do not have one and it would still only last for 30 days anyway. She then just put the phone down to cut off our conversation. Her name was Lauren. This was about 3.00pm today.
Is Vodafone Customer Service usually as bad as this? Has anybody else found this?

Question. Are they allowed to change their terms and conditions
Answer Yes.
If unhappy, but a cheap dongle everytime you go on holiday!0 -
