It's interesting that several networks have launched more attractive roaming deals recently, perhaps in anticipation of or attempting to ward off this decision.

Some brands have abolished any charges for calls while roaming, and more attractive data roaming deals are appearing, for example 100 MB a day for €1

If all the networks across Europe lose all the money they make from roaming charges surely they will have to put up the cost of calls and data charges.

They've been decreasing other charges for years, all the time knowing that eventually they would no longer be able to exempt themselves from the single European market.
