Car insurance companies who don't increase premiums due to no-fault claims?

I am extremely nervous driving after I found out that most insurance companies will hike your premium if you're involved in an accident that wasn't your fault.
I'm under 25, so I'm sure any such hikes would be relatively steep. I would be tempted, in any minor accidents, not to report them and to have the damage fixed myself. But of course, this is deeply unfair as money shouldn't be coming out of my pocket at all to pay for damage resulting from an accident that wasn't my fault - whether it be for repairs, or for insurance premium hikes.
So, I was wondering if there are any insurance companies who do not employ this practice, so I could look into getting a quote from them? I'd happily pay a higher price for my premium to know, for sure, that the insurance will work the way it is supposed to and not penalise me for any accident that is not my fault.

Insurers rating engines are increasingly complex. So a non-fault accident may not be rated for a 40 year old person with a small family car but may add a loading to a 21 year old with a modified hot hatch
Shop around each year is best practice anyway, if you have a non-fault accident you will find the cheapest company next year when you shop around again0 -
Of course it will depend on all your other variables but give Direct Line a shot (I don't think they are on comparison websites).
I had a non fault accident last year and when it came to renewal time I noticed that they hadn't updated my file to include it ( I niavely thought this would be automatic as I was insured with them throughout). When I called to ask them to add it, my renewal premium went down by £15!0 -
If i add an accident prone younger sister to my policy as a named driver. My premium reduces. Even though she has made several claims in the past 5 years.
Just because a company say they wont add an extra premium on for a non fault accident doesnt mean they will be any cheaper than someone that doubles the premium.
At the end of the day you need to shop around for the best price.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

You want to pay more now, just in case you have an accident and are asked to pay more perhaps, maybe, at some hypothetical future stage ! Seriously?
If you have an accident and are penalised, shop around then to find the ones that don't penalise you - assuming of course they are competitive.0 -
Hi GSMAnon
I wonder if you're a bit confused about the premium hikes you describe.
Your premium will not increase during the current policy year, if you're involved in an accident. It will only increase when it's time to renew.
So, as others have said - for the moment go with whichever insurer gives you best value for money.
If you're involved in any accidents during the policy year (or even if your not), get fresh quotes at renewal time and change insurers then, if you can get a better deal elsewhere.0
