Nicorette Inhalator on Virgin Atlantic

Hi,

Does anyone know if you're allowed these on VA flights to the US?

For anyone that doesn't know, they're not like e-cigs in that they don't light up, don't emit vapour and aren't powered by anything.

If you can, can you have them in your hand luggage and do the capsules have to go in the little clear plastic bag at security?

Many thanks

(been on hold to VA for about 20 minutes).

We never had a problem with this previously ... but I haven't flown anywhere since 2008.

I don't know if the use of them is allowed onboard VS flights, but as long as there's no liquid in the capsules you can have them in your hand luggage outside of the clear liquids bag :)

Just spoke to them. Allowed in the airport in your hand luggage but CANNOT use them on the plane.

if they are the plastic ones with cartridge , you can use them on any airline as you only puff on them and absolutely nothing is omitted, i have used them lately on BA, virgin, emirates and jet2 all in front of staff , some staff use them too on long haul, My nephew works for virgin and he and other staff use them, its the vapour ones that cannot be used, the plastic ones are no different from you sucking on a lolly to the people around you. I carry mine in my handbag and keep the inhilator in my pocket as its only plastic, mine is usually chewed to heck when we hit turbulance:rotfl:
