Charged FIVE times for two tickets!

Hi / sorry if this is in the wrong place or a really silly question - I'm worrying!
My dad and I bought two theatre tickets over the phone with his debit card. It wouldn't go through twice because Dad couldn't remember which postcode his card was registered to but we got there.
Tickets arrived and all was fine until Dad saw he'd been charged £42 five times over by the theatre!!!!
Is it going to be a simple case of phoning the theatre and getting the (rather large sum of) money back? Or do we need to go to the bank? Thanks!

Give them a ring and if you get no joy come back here. The guys that post here really know their stuff (not me, I just lurk lol).2017 wins = £1350
2016 wins = £125 (18 months off comps)
2015 wins = £6,460
2014 wins = £1,3500 -
How long ago were the tickets bought? The money may have just been put in holding as a pending transaction which will automatically go back into the account after a few days.0

As above. If still no joy then contact the bank/credit card company and raise 4 of them as disputed transactions.0

Have you received two tickets or ten? If it's clearly two the theatre shouldn't have a problem at all. If it's ten however you may have a little more difficulty. X0
