Hi there I have a defaulted 'fixed term deferred payment' loan on my credit file for the amount of £127, which i have no knowledge of. Should i write to the company (Gothia?) and ask for something in writing to confirm what I supposedly owe money too, no-one seems to be chasing me for any unpaid loans, but I would like it off the file! Any advice greatly appreciated!

Yes write to them, state that you have identified an item on your credit file and ask them to provide you with proof and full details of the alleged debt or remove it from your credit file.
fixed term deferred payment would often be something like a sofa on credit where you get 12months before you start repaying, or a something like a buy now pay later deal on a catalogue account.
If you don't have anything like that then it could have been incorrectly linked to you and belong to a different person with the same or similar name to you.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
