not sure if anyone's seen this site, but it's a kind of ebay for second hand designer clothes/jewellery, etc.
http://www.vestiairecollective.com
Anyway, I bought a bracelet from them last week, the seller described it as suitable for a 16cm wrist. When it arrived the circumference was 10.5cm! It would just about fit a 5 year old.
So I sent them a note saying I wanted to return it and received this stock reply...
"As indicated in our "T&C", second hand items sold by a private seller are not exchangeable nor refundable. If the item does not suit you in regards to color and or size, we offer you the possibility to relist it for sale under your profile, only the cost of treatment will be deducted. This offer is available for 10 days from the date of expedition of your order. To relist, you must connect under your account/History/orders, and click on the corresponding order, then on "relist for sale" the item concerned."
This is the whole set up of their site. they're saying they don't sell anything, they act as a middle man between buyer and seller, receiving the payment from the buyer, they then receive the item from the seller, check it for authenticity, then forward it on.
So I'm not sure what to do now, as they've said, I can re-list it free, and they take a cut, that's if I manage to sell it!
This can't be right.
I paid with paypal, can I just claw back the payment and send the item back to them? Surely they must have some responsibility for items advertised on their site?
Cheers everyone.
