I haven't a clue on cars.
I own a vauxhall Astra 1999 diesel which is rattling from the engine, sounds like metal, any suggestions what it could be? The oil has been topped up not long ago.

Could be anything. But as as you mention the oil, how much oil is in it?0

Run the car with the bonnet up and have someone identify exactly where it is rattling. Easier to identify the cause when you know the exact location.0
