Thermal store size

Hi all,
I have just purchased a hunter boiler logburner.
My fitter says I need a 450 litre thermal store to connect to for best results. I spoke to gledhill and they say I need a 250 litre.
Can anyone please advise me on how you calculate the size needed.
If it helps the log burner is a hunter herald 14.
Thanks
