Letter from cooperative bank

A few years back I wrote to the cooperative bank to try to claim back ppi I had taken out on a loan with them. They rejected my claim. I've now had a letter asking me to contact them as they're undertaking a review of my complaint. They add that whilst this review may not change their original decision additional information I provide will form part of their assessment. I'm going through a really hard time financially at the minute and could really do with this. I'd be so grateful if anyone could give me some advice on the best way to deal with them. I know I originally sent them one of the template letters available on this site. They're going to call me tomorrow at lunch time. Many thanks for your help

What are the reasons for your complaint?0

I'll have to dig out the paperwork but it was centred around the fact that I was missold it0

You have to give reasons as to WHY the PPI was mis-sold.If your reasons are not valid or you have no evidence to support any allegations of wrong-doing then your complaint will be likely rejected again.I'll have to dig out the paperwork but it was centred around the fact that I was missold it0 -
I just spoke to a representative from the Co-operative Bank and told her the reasons for my original claim: I didn't ask for the policy and wasn't fully aware of what it would and would not cover and and that i felt that I was pressurised into buying it as it was implied my loan application would be successful if I bought it. They're going to get back to me in 2 weeks time. I also asked why Co-operative were conducting the review and she said she didn't know...0

That was a very weak "hearsay" complaint which might reasonably be expected to fail. However, the fact that the Bank are conducting a review may indicate that they've discovered other faults with the sale (or with the Bank staff making the sale) which MAY provide a glimmer of hope.I didn't ask for the policy and wasn't fully aware of what it would and would not cover and and that i felt that I was pressurised into buying it as it was implied my loan application would be successful if I bought it.
You'll know for sure in a few weeks. Good luck.:)0 -
If you complained prior to 2011, they're all doing this, or sending out notification that you might wat to complain letters.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Is any of that true or is what you have read to sayI just spoke to a representative from the Co-operative Bank and told her the reasons for my original claim: I didn't ask for the policy and wasn't fully aware of what it would and would not cover and and that i felt that I was pressurised into buying it as it was implied my loan application would be successful if I bought it. It is obviously from a template complaint, but the fact that the Bank are conducting a review indicates that some potential faults have been identified.Brokerwise wrote: »Is any of that true or is what you have read to say0
