Hi All,

Are there any outlets in Belfast city centre that sell laptop chargers?

  • My daughter lost hers last month and some of the costs for replacements were scary...

I eventually found a company in England - google Coywood who do chargers for every laptop known to man and prices are fairly good too.

Had it the day after ordering.

I bought mine on ebay....cost me £5.95 instead of £129.99 - search your model on ebay and I'm sure there'll be an equivalent

Beware of dodgy ones though. They can cause fires and it's not worth the money saving if that happens. Buy a genuine reputable brand is my advice.

Highly unlikey you will find a genuine one on ebay and they are mostly potentially fire hazards. I got a Dell one from Amazon and it was a fake which wouldnt charge the laptop, so got a refund, seller didnt want it back, broke it open and it was rubbish dangerous flimsy construction with weights to make it feel heavier.

A number of people have warned me against Amazon and Ebay.

If its sold by actual Amazon itself, it should be genuine, but the third party sellers are a whole other story.

Maplin / Argos will do a universal one. Change the voltage and connector to suit. I'm sure PC World and other computer shops will sell similar also.

Please DO NOT buy a universal charger.
Buy a genuine charger for your laptop.

No they don't. There are a vast number of power supplies/chargers for different models and manufacturers.

    What make and model?
