Mindless Idiots!

Went out thsi morning to find some mindless* idiot* has vandalised my car - there's 3 deep separate scratches, each about a foot long on the passenger door, back door and front wing panel GRRRR. My OH's car was damaged in the same way last week. They were parked in different communal car parks about 10 seconds walk away but unfortunately, we can't see either car park from out house.

We haven't lived here long and have no "enemies" so I can't decide if it was completely random (no other cars were damaged on either ocassion) or if someone has a grudge against us.

What's wrong with these people?!

Sorry to hear of your car being damaged, I bet you would love to get your hands on there mindless idiots.

I don't know what to suggest. I have a car too it's been slightly damaged by other motorists idiots that rather than wait for on coming traffic due to width of the road damage my parked car. Instead I now pay £8 per week to have my car garaged 10 minutes walk from me.

That's really lousy. My sisters car was vandalised in the University car park which is only used by staff and students. She had a brand new car and whoever was parked next to her misjudged the space and caused over £1000 worth of damage and drove off.

My car is about 5 years old now so at least it's not brand spanking new, but still, it's infuriating. When I first got it five years ago, I had had it for about 3 months when someone managed to back into one of the rear doors, left a huge dent and just drove off.

On another occasion, someone completely broke one of my wing mirrors whilst it was parked at the side of a road. It took me weeks to source a new (cheap!) mirror that matched. I put it on and literally 2 hours later, I was at a roundabout waiting to pull out when a car bombed past too close to me and shattered the new mirror. Needless to say, neither driver owned up to their actions.

I once misjudged the distance when I was reversing out of a parking space and broke another car's number plate, I waited for about an hour for the owner but no luck. In the end, I put a note under the windscreen wipers leaving my telephone number and paid for a new number plate.

Why can't other people have the same courtesy?

My only advice, Probably not what you want to hear, is: buy an old banger! Mine got keyed last week - no problem though, just blends in with all the other scratches!
I know, it shouldn't come to this, but it's a sign of the times :(

That's 8 years of labour for you !

Don't want to make it political, but Mr.B was positively crowing that his party was doing something about antisocial behaviour.

The fact that, thousands and thousands of asbo's have been handed out is not an indication that they are doing something about it.

It's more an indication that it is out of control and they have let it get out of control in the first place !

Noozan, you have my sympathy. My mates car had paint stripper poured over it this week and has no idea why. I had my car vandalised a few years ago and the culprits were never caught either.

I have now resigned myself that there will always be some people out there that will try to destroy things that other people have. I now do my upmost to try to prevent anything from happening to my property (alarms etc) but there are some jealous folks out there and unfortunately, there's not much we can do about it.

This is exactly what I do! I came out after playing at a gig at a pub to find that some fecker (obviously in a 4x4 judging by the damage and probably drunk!) had reversed into the back of my peugeot 205 putting a HUGE dent in my boot door, maginally missing my back windscreen and (unknown to me until I used my boot) breaking the seal on my windscreen thus making my perfectly dry and rust-free car soaking wet and rusty!

I have a feeling I know who it is and they must have known they done it as my windscreen was almost taken out - if I could prove it they'd find that someone had 'accidentally' driven into their car with a tractor!!

I have to park on the road which has parking either side, making the road into a single carriageway. I've come out missing wing mirrors and so far every car I've had has ended up with a dent in every single panel.
Most drivers don't have an ounce of thought for anyone else and I'm sure they get their licenses for an extra £30 to the examiners.
