Merging 2 Capital One credit cards?
*Kat*
I have a Luma card, then I opened a Capital One Platinum card.
I received a letter in the post this morning saying I can merge them into one if I want.
At the moment, my number 1 priority is to increase my credit rating.
If I close the Luma, will this have a negative impact? I don't mind keeping both open...it doesn't make a difference.
Thoughts?

Closing an account wouldn't in general have a negative impact on someone's ability to get credit.
Depending on the specifics of your credit file it could make a difference to your chances of acceptance with a particular lender (although that could be positive or negative).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
