Help me choose a netbook please!

Options
I want a netbook for no more than £500, I mainly use my phone and tablet so it's mainly for light spreadsheets and word and storage and backup.

I have seen two in Costco I was thinking about:

Toshiba 15 notebook m50a11n £419.98

Sony 15 svf1521q1ew £515.99

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00E1FAMUI?pc_redir=1396279298&robot_redir=1

Or is there something better value?

Thanks for your help

Could you not use Google Docs or Kingsoft Office suite on the tablet to deal with Word and Excel doxcs?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I would be very surprised if you actually wanted a netbook (a small, horrible device) - first two uses - rather than a notebook - last usage.

Why not say "laptop", and avoid confusion? :T

To be honest, I would say that both of your suggested laptops were about £100 too dear, and you could get the functions you want from a much cheaper laptop.

Neither of those are netbooks, thankfully, because netbooks are bloody awful and most manufacturers don't even make such things any more.

On paper, i'd pick the sony, but in actuality, the trackpad on them is attrocious and a pain to use as they're too sensitive on the gesture front, but the click barely functions on most of them. I'd therefore go for the tosh.
