I have put in a claim with American express some years ago I was made redundant payments with PPi did not correspond with the card payment thus this bill just escalated, I wrote to Amex and aske for help or due date to change. Banter continued outcome I was taken to court and the debt was put on my house when it came for sale, almost £2000.00 I recently took equity release but had to pay the court before I could take the release, so I had dealing with Amex solicitors THEY told me I had a good case for PPI, I contacted Amex yet again to no avail they said they are standing by the ombudsman. How is correct? do I have a claim? my feelings toward Amex they deal very underhanded.

If your case has already been reviewed by the ombudsman prior to 2009 you can try maing another complaint now.
If it was later than that, it's probably over.
why did it not pay out during your redundancy? and was your complaint abut the sale or about it not paying out?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I submitted my complaint 2002. I had no redundancy pay as I did not qualify so the option to pay the few hundred I owed was not an option. yes I was paid the PPI due but was always paid after the card payment due date, thus bill went up not down. every month I would aske for Amex or PPI payment dates to be changed to avail this problem, this never happened, it is my believe that this was a way of obtaining revenue. I did complain to ombudsman and they backed Amex result I was taken to court.0
