I'm still working out what the question mark is there for.

Confidence issues
Is that genuinely the reason?
Aussies do that upward inflection thing at the end of sentences to make a statement sound like a question and I assume it's because they aren't confident enough just to come out with a statement, they want some affirmation.0 -

Well, no, I was just messing around!
The question mark is there as I'm asking a question...as in "I think I have got this thread right" and leaving it as an open question.
The whole reason for this thread is that it appears many threads I write get's a fine tooth comb run over the spelling, grammar and tone.... Ends up a thread about what I may have meant, what I really meant and what I really think with everything else that I stated completely ignored in favour of what's just been made up.
So I decided on this thread to please the majority with the quote and cut out anything else. Check my spelling. Check my grammar, say nothing that could be taken out of context and throw in some animated jumpy icons.
Seems to have worked.... It is at least pleasant! Only Hamish has taken the content of the thread in any way seriously!0 -

I absolutely reject the accusation that I am a "spelling and grammar hawk". I shall be consulting my legal advisors with a view to issuing proceedings for defamation. Not once have I ever drawn attention to anyone's grammatical errors here on MSE. Unless there was a joke in it. That's different.:)mayonnaise wrote: »Signs of moderation are good.
It confirms what I've been saying all along, that there's no bubble.
Now don't go around saying that sort of thing. You'll spoil the fun.0 -

I propose we settle this up now. If you PM me your address I'll send you a bag of Haribo as way of making good any hurt feelings.0 -
So back on topic....
Quarterly regional data is also out.
