I have had 3 iPads, all replaced through Apple due to the same issue and now Apple want to give me another replacement whereas at this point I want a refund.
Where do I stand?

Can you please give some idea of a timeline?
I.e. is that three in one week, or what?
Did you buy direct from Apple?
How did you pay?0 -
It is within 4 months, unfortunately as Apple have a policy of needing to book an appointment to even speak to a technician I have had to wait some time for each replacement.
I bought direct from their store and paid by debit card.0 -
Apple are very good at collecting items like this via courier at their expense, if that helps.0

I would say that as this is the 3rd replacement it is now time for a refund if that's what you wish. Under the SOGA the buyer cannot insist on a particular remedy (ie, replacement, refund, repair) but any remedy chosen must be carried out with an reasonable period and not cause a significant inconvenience. You could probably argue that they have fallen down on both these points.
What exactly is the fault?0 -
A new law is supposed to be coming in that allows just 1 repair attempt, until then your stuck.0

It seems unusual that three ipads would have exactly the same fault - what exactly is the problem? Maybe it isn't a fault but a setting or something that could be changed?0

Not really. There is an issue at present with them rebooting by themselves, people had replacements and still doing the same.It seems unusual that three ipads would have exactly the same fault - what exactly is the problem? Maybe it isn't a fault but a setting or something that could be changed?0
