Had a new bathroom installed by Your Plumber - a national brand - by a local guy with a Your Plumber franchise 9 months ago. The bathroom came with a 12 month installation guarantee it is now leaking. went to contact the installer to be told by Your Plumber he is no longer trading.
Your Plumber say nothing to do with them as my contract is with the local plumber with his franchise not with them.
Can anyone help with where i stand with this one please.

I suspect they are right.
It may make a difference if the plumber you paid was a limited company or a sole trader though. If the company has been wound up, it's tough. If it was a sole trader you may have some comeback against the individual.0 -
What's leaking, might be something you can get help with?0

Thumbremote - I will double check on the company status, thanks.
Society's child -as for what's leaking, i do not know it is behind a stud wall / beneath the shower tray.0 -
How did you pay? If it's with any form of credit linked directly to the purchase then the credit supplier are liable for the terms of the contract.0

It is a long shot but was the plumber insured and if so who by? Even though he is no longer trading you could try chasing his insurer, if you can find out who it was.2017 wins = £1350
2016 wins = £125 (18 months off comps)
2015 wins = £6,460
2014 wins = £1,3500
