Kitchen tiles MINEFIELD

This should be the easiest job in the world but I am making a right job out of it, so please help me
Cream gloss kitchen, came with the house, wouldn't have picked it but I quite like it
Re-tiling, thought I wanted cream brick tiles, preferably matt with a fancy-pants mosaic border. Was just googling 'matt or cream' which brought me to MSE to a thread saying that mosaic tiles are dated. Dated! Me! Surely not
So please help me
Matt or cream tiles with cream gloss kitchen?
And should I care about borders being dated if I like them?

Matt with mosaic for me. But have what you want..It is your kitchen after all!
That type of mosaic is certainly not dated. Look at other places than Topps though...you will probably find the same thing available cheaper elsewhere..0
