Am aiming to clear all the smaller debts to free up some cash and this would be a great way of going about it.

You are more than welcome. Every penny (literally) counts. There are no hard and fast rules. Tis what works for you. I usually pad every 2 weeks. Some every day? Varies...
Remember one of my mantra's tis not going down (or getting into debt) that's the crime but staying down (i.e not having a light bulb moment). Blips are allowed. Anything unexpected is allowed. We are one of the friendliest threads on here. If you have a major whoopsie we are not going to bite your head off. Happens
Even the amount you pad doesn't matter.....
