Credit Soft Searches

Just checked my Noddle report and some 'soft searches' appear to show. One is the MSE eligibilty checker and the others are for zopa and ratesetter. The explanation wording is a tad ambiguous so just checking with those who know better. Here is the exact wording for 'other's searches' (under which the aforementioned searches appear):


Searches on your details through Callcredit within the last 24 months. These searches may be seen by third parties when they check your details with Callcredit.


And for 'your searches':

Searches made by you on your Credit Report through Callcredit within the last 24 months. These searches will not be seen by lenders when you make an application for credit.

It looks to me like the searches mentioned DO appear visible to third parties even though they aren't supposed to. Would annoy me if they did as that is specifically why I chose zopa and ratesetter. Somebody please tell me I'm wrong!!!

Don't worry only credit searches are shown to lenders. Not stuff such as quotation searches or id checks or similar. The "your searches" I believe relates to when you "ask" call credit for your credit report. I.e when you view a new report. On noddle, all searches are in the same table where as on experian they are in separate tables.
