Dog walking /horse mucking out clothes

I am currently clearing out my wardrobe,
After a long time with no heating or hot water I do have some and this I think means I will be able to cope with fewer changes of clothes to dog walk and muck out in because I'll be able to wash, dry more easily and get warm myself better after being outside.
I'm wondering how many changes of winter dog walking /mucking out clothes people with dogs and horses on DIY or at home have? I cannot stand overalls or water proof trousers so I often get through two sets of stuff a day with the horses
. But I reckon I should be able to cope with a max of five changes? Does this sound reasonable?

I'd say it depends on how quickly you can dry things, and whether you wear full length boots to keep the bottom of your trousers dry. I tend to wear jeans, and if the weather is bad I wear my long boots and a long coat, so don't tend to get too wet, but then I no longer have to muck out.
Being impertinent, how many changes of clothing do you have now?Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

Um, well, this winter I had about three weeks worth but not with two changes a day ..so um......with some inventive dressing,,,,,I am not ashamed to look odd......:o about 21:eek:. This includes fleece pjs. ( wash and dry VERY quickly
) jeans and track suits. I have a long coat I wear when its raining for walking but don't muck out in, and yes, no problem with the bottom of trousers.
My main issue with mucking out is the smell. Its horrid to put stinky clothes back on the next day, even if its just to get stink again and only for a clue of hours, especially if they are a bit 'wintered' with damp and sweat from getting hot working hard in the cold!

Yes, I know what you mean about putting on stinky clothes. Could you get it down to say 14 changes of clothes, throwing out what you really don't like, and then see how it goes?
This is MSE after all, I wouldn't want to say go with 5 days, and then you have to go out and replace perfectly serbiceable clothes.
ETA, hopefully now that you have heating and hot water, the damp mustiness will be a thing of the pastGood enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

Probably about 5 or 6 changes for horse work max.
Morning stables x1
Evening work x1
Enough to cover three days so they are washed every day or two and not hanging around.
Dog walking stuff is just normal jeans and no special rotation.
Coats and gilets are the key things in our house. A good winter equine coat, and a spare for when it is sopping/ washed (rare).
Gilets x many.
Dog walking coat = equine coat or husband has various barbour/aigle coats and gilets0
