gm card visa

Hi, I know that I had a Visa GM credit card , I know the account number but that is all the details I have.

Can anyone tell me where to search to find the correct name and address to write to , to find out if I had PPI on it. I am not even sure what company a GM card would be with , it was around 2001.

My GM Card PPI complaint was dealt with by HFC Bank, so might be worth checking with them first.

So am I correct in thinking that Visa GM card could of been issued by different companies then?

As far as I can recall, I think it was always with the HSBC group (of which HFC is a member) but I'm not 100% certain.
