I recently fell 'victim' to ParkdirectUk in Uxbridge. I was working late at UNI and stopped to pick up a take away meal, I did not leave the car ,my friend ran in and collected pre ordered food. I live in Uxbridge with Uni colleagues and do not get home more than once every couple of months. On my last visit I found a ticket for £60 which had passed the 28 day period and thereby increased to £100. I wrote and explained the situation but they refused to move on the £100. I cannot pay £100 at present and asked to pay by instalment, mentioning I am a student. Blunt refusal and threat today that the cost increases to £150 if I do not pay £20 tomorrow and £20 every week, which is impossible with all other costs I have. I read with interest on this forum that these guys appear to be rip off merchants? Any advise really welcome. Thanks.

First things first - don't pay anything to the Parking Company.

Please don't pay these scumbags any heed, they are just barrel scraping ex clampers who are just scum. Don't speak to them and ignore everything short of a small claim. This will not happen! Make complaints to the take away joint , and to the landowner if you can find them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Checking every couple of months is a recipe for disaster.
Get someone to pick it up every week or so and post it on to you.0
