i am looking to reduce my car insurance premium but am not having any luck with the search companies so was wondering if anyone could reccommend a good insurer who is good on price

You work in the industry so ought to know that is an impossible question to answer.
Different insurers target different market segments. Which do you fit into? Boy racer with modded car or 50 year old with Skoda Favorit?
Search companies should form start of your search (to see who will quote for your sector) and then get on the blower and give them a call to see if there is any movement on price.
You could also try staff discounts (if you still work in the trade) and other organisations like Civil Service, trade unions and affinity groups.0
