Reasonably Priced Tablet for 10 year Old!

Can someone recommend a value-for-money tablet for a 10 year old.

All i want is something that will improve his education.

The Tesco Hudl tablet gets generally very good reviews and is good value for money, with the advantage of having a major retailer as backup should a problem develop.

In that case, have you considered Chromebooks? They're more expensive than the Hudl and similar tablets, but you get a larger screen and a proper keyboard which is better for typing schoolwork.

Or if he is very technically minded and already quite knowledgeable about the internals of computers, maybe a Raspberry Pi? (Probably more suitable for someone a bit older though)
