Does Anyone Employ a Gardener?

We do..he comes every 2 weeks and charges £15 to cut back and front gardens which are both fairly large and weeding of borders. He also plants the odd plants i buy. The most he has charged is £70 and that included the above and painting my fence panels and shed and summer house. It's a godsend for us as i am unable to do any gardening and my husband works away.0

A family member of mine is a gardener - she charges £10 an hour. She usually does anything people want from digging to planting and often works hand in hand with the customers as they seem to like this. She doesn't do more than 2 hours a week for any of them but usually every week from mid March. This is in the Gloucester area.0

I take it handing out mattocks to the offspring in exchange for pizza doesn't count? Great way of putting all that teenage energy to use though.0
