The brands "No Fear" and "Airwalk" are now being pushed in Sports Direct.
I have a feeling they have bought these brands as well which used to be very expensive and very sought after.
Trouble is people soon "cotton on" that the brands are no longer as great as they were. I mean people who see you in "Karrimor" gear now think of it as cheap tat which it never used to be.....it had a long heritage of over 50 years before the "pile it high, flog it cheap" brigade got their hands on it.
I am sure they would like to get their hands on "The North Face" and do the same to them :eek:0 -
You're right bargain mad....
Same for Yves Saint Laurent... Used to cost big bucks in all the designer shops...
Now its chavy as hell and no one would touch it....
(sorry to anyone who has any YSL still... just my opinion)

You've confirmed my thoughts - I bought a pair a couple of months ago, but can wear them for more than a few hours, because one of them makes my little toe red raw sore - the inside is rough - I've never had this with any other trainer. As you've said - these are £15 - £20 trainers be8ing sold for £15 to £20. No bargain here.0

It's amazing isn't it about YSL stuff. Used to be £50 for a t-shirt. Not anymore ! Pick one up for £5.
Trouble is it's not the same sort of discounting as, say, TK MAXX, where you can pick up a REAL piece of designer gear at a good saving.
Sports Direct is less REAL in that the goods really are mass made with the "label" added on. But people soon realise.....
With YSL I think Sports Direct own the license for the "YSL" brand but not for the classier Yves Saint Laurent.
But for me I wouldn't want to be paying £500 for a Yves Saint Larent suit knowing that the YSL brand is piled high at Sports World "devaluing" all the time.:rotfl:0
