Vw polo sunroof

Looking to get the new polo and wouldn't mind a sunroof as an option.

Some google research throws up issues with vw sunroofs leaking including a USA class action suit.

Anyone here had issues with vw sunroofs and any opinions on as sunroof as an option welcome.

Seems the issue is related to blocked drainage system but one article said the sunroof can leak in heavy rainfall as the drainage system can become overwhelmed.

Having read about leaks I now feel a bit reticent spending quite a bit on an option that could give trouble .

Check out sitting in a Polo with the sunroof. Sun roofs take away a large amount of headroom. Sunroofs were really popular in the 80s and 90s but now aircon has taken over because of headroom issues, noise, leaks and the lack of headroom, aside from the expense of taking a tin opener to the car and fitting one into the body shell.

Many cars had issues with leaking sun roofs, it's not just a modern Polo problem.

I have had a MK1 GTI, 2 *MK2 GTI, Corrado, MK4 GTi, MK5 GTI and now a MK7 GTI, all had /have sunroof and never had a problem with leaks.
Don't know about the Polo, but they are an expensive option, +£900 on the MK7, was £600 on the MK5, air con/ climate control or not, I like having a sunroof.
