Please Help Need Urgent Advice as to how to get a refund!!

Please help, I am not even sure I am writing this in the most relevent topics.
I bought some face paints £43 worth online from www.thefacepaintshop.co.uk on the 7th June 07. I never received the items as they informed me I would not receive it by the date I needed it. They asked if I wanted a refund which I said yes to. Have never received the refund have tried calling 100's of times and emailing to which I get no response. I have left message after message. (number on the website is never answered) Last week I searched the address for the company on 192 and found that they have several other companies ragistered to the same address I found another number and called this one.... To my surprise my call was actually answered and I was told he would process my refund later that day. Still over a week later nothing! Now he does not answer any of the numbers I am calling him on.
I spoke to my Bank and they have told me that there is nothing I can do except keep trying!! That I gave him permission to take the money from my card.
Surely what this guy has done is illigal or something. Please Please can someone help and advise me what I can say or do to get my money back??

Sounds like the guy is not refunding to aid his cashflow.

Did you pay by debit card or credit card? If you paid by debit card is it a Visa debit card?

Link not working at the moment.When did you place the order and when did you establish they couldnt get it to you.What did the t & cs say about placing orders and cancelling.Have a look at reviews of them on reviewcentre.

I paid by Visa electron.

Its says full refund will be given if you return within 14 days. But they never actually dispatched the goods too me in the first place.

I placed the order on the 7th June and I think by the next day he had replied via email stating delivary times and did I want a refund as I would not get it in time. I said yes. Then when I eventually got through last week he said he would do th erefund that evening!!

Just had a quick look only 9 reviews 10 now I think with mine. Wish I had have seen this earlier maybe I would not have been such a fool to have got myself in this situation. Most people seem to say the same thing!

the telephone number given for the childrens entertainment part of the business is 01332 669131 in yellow pages.This is the same number as the designer of their website,which is given as 59, Fiskerton Way,Oakwood,Derby.DE21 2HY.Perhaps ring them in the evening and you might get a response.
