Morning all from gloriously sunny and warm Kent. Off for walk with friends and coffee in a cliff top refurbished pub this pm, will be lovely to sit outside for a natter.

So good to get the washing out every day too. Hope weather improves if you still have rain and cold.

Hugs to all those who need them.

Sun has finally come out of hiding and a really nice day.

Made soup for me and DH for lunch and also a la leftover of beef cheek veg and baked potato for DH. I had melba toast and light cheese spread.

Pizza dough is in the breadmaker and stewing steak, carrots and onions have been simmered so I can make Hairy Dieters pasties for tonight with salad or green veg.DD who will not eat beef can have a sausage meat filling.

    BB

I don't use the diet word and never want to join a regulated organisation again either. I have been making food from scratch and having fruit and yoghurt if I want to snack since early Feb and have just lost a stone. Most meals are from the Bikers books and I don't eat the processed junk anymore but the D word is banned.

It took me years to get diagnosed as hypothyroid and I was fairly disappointed when the weight did not "drop off me". If I can lose a pound a week without trying and without being stressed and scared to get on the scales then I will be ecstatic.

    Hugs to all

Well I can stop worrying. I've had a text to say that the Air France flight to Paris was delayed and they didn't hold the flight to Caracas for it. They've already had to trim a day off the trip so the organisers have decided to postpone it. Have to wait and see if the new dates suit DD.

Elona, I've been hypothyroid for nearly 30 years and have struggled with my weight - before then I was a skinny Minnie and had no trouble keeping the weight off. Drs act as if thyroxine is the miracle cure, it may be for some, but not for me and a lot of others I've spoken to.

NPM, I've got my fingers crossed for you.

BB & Elona I don't like the D word either!! Should be a lifestyle change that's permenant.
I also cook almost everything from scratch, not only is it healthier but I think it tastes better. We do have some odd bits and bobs that is processed food but majority is not!
elona would you recommened the hairy bikers book? Seen a few people mention the receips from it.

I have both the bikers books but got them for half price from amazon or thebookpeople. I think some supermarkets have them cheaper too.

Everyone seems to love the spicy pork with rice, beef goulash, pies made with pizza mix etc. Evening meals always from the books and breakfasts are usually porridge with lunch being home made soup or an open sandwich or omelette.

Nipping out for more yoghurt and fruit as there is an offer on.

    Evening All
A little hectic here at Chez DG, due to DS's wedding on Saturday. Today I have been into town to pick up some last minute bits. Think I am organised now. My Outfit is hanging in the wardrobe. I had my face done at the Boots Estee Lauder counter today, so I know what makeup to take. Roots and second trial hair style tomorrow, nails facial etc., on Thursday.
Will try to post some piccies on FB.
((hugs)), Spoons, etc., to anyone needed them.
    Take care everyone. DG
