How to Proceed from here?

Hi,

I am unsure of what to do next with Lloydstsb. Basically I have managed to reclaim some of the charges refunded to the amount of £455. But according to the statements they sent me they are short by £55. The total I calculated was £510. This omits the interest of £119 (using the calc on the site):money: . The total they should be paying me is £629.70.

They have also stated in the letter they have sent me that they will not "We Will not refund any overdraft interest - standard account or service charges"

Whats the best way to deal with this?

Overdraft interest, standard account or service charges are not reclaimable.

Double check your figures and make sure that the amount you feel you are owed does'nt include charges for these.
NATWEST Amount Claimed £2860 Amount Received £2860

CLYDESDALE FINANCIAL SERVICES Amount Claimed £85.00 Amount Received £42.50

Thanks for that. I worked the figures again and they are short by £72.12p. I am wondering why they just didn't pay me the lot?

The bank will have checked your claim and decided they aren't paying on some of the amounts you have claimed. You have now gone from £55 to £72.12 so perhaps you should check again.

Yes, I made a mistake on my original claim. I claimed for £510.40 + Interest of £119.30. Total £629.70.

The correct amount upon checking today in total charges is £417 - this should have been the original claim amount. This amount plus correct interest of £110.12 amounts to - £527.12. They have allocated £455. So they have given me a bit extra I suppose, but not the full £527. There is £72.12 outstanding in statutory interest.

Over claiming in the first instance worked in my favour. I am now prepared to settle for this amount. I have gained a lot through following Martins advice. Had I not, that money would have gone forever - so very grateful. Thanks for all your replies. All the best!

Its your call mate but for the sake of £72 in interest I would take it. If you havent gone the MCOL route then I would have thought its not worth it for £72 but that is obviously your choice but its the only way you will get interest :)
