strange meter reading on account after switch

We've just moved to coop and I was giving a meter reading today. Just discovered that there is an entry in the electricity one which says R (which is supposedly a meter reader.

Thing is that this reading is nearly 6* as much as what I've just read. My reading is correct (double checked) and in line with previous readings and estimates used by previous provider...

You need to check with them then, as if the previous erroneous reading has been accepted by the system then your new one will be automatically rejected, as it's obviously lower.
How long ago was the erroneous reading?

I have checked with them and emailed pictures of the meter as they requested. The online system is a bit .... it happily accepts the newer far lower readings.
