mystery credit card

Okay here goes, bit of a strange one.

I had a credit card with the Clydesdale bank I am trying to get back my bank charges.

I have filled out the access request but they say I did not have a credit card and they cant proceed until they are supplied with the account numbers

I don't have any old bills or statements so what can I do?

All help is appreciated

If your account is very old it's not unlikely that there is no longer any trace of this finance. You could write a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter at a cost of £10 just to be certain, however.
