Period for appeal - UKPC

Thanks so much for all the information!
What I haven't got from the FAQs for newbies is whether we should wait for the Notice to Keeper before appealing? We had a windscreen ticket 6 days ago giving us 14 days to appeal with the reduced "fine", but no NTK so far. Should we write (which will give them our address) using your wonderful template within that notice period?
When we got the ticket we just thought it had to be a scam. Have been shopping and parking there for years with no sign of any monitoring of the area.

Assuming you are the registered keeper then wait for the notice to keeper, which should arrive between 29 and 56 days from the date of the ticket which was attached to your vehicle.
You then appeal from this notice using the template in the Newbies sticky thread.0
