I've also started paying off the little things like flowers, cake topper etc so I have them here well in advance and at the end then I only have to pay the last bits for the big stuff like the venue. Hoping to,have it all paid off within 3 months so we can get our honeymoon paid for and start saving for a house xxxDebt free finally :j

I can't quite remember ( we married 2 years ago) but im sure it was a couple of weeks before...however I was confident they would not close.
Do you have insurance that covers if they go under? If you have not paid much I would look elsewhere.0 -
Venues and suppliers often feel the rough end when people cancel, so I'm not surprised the bulk of the money needs to be paid upfront!0

Usually the venues have their own arrangements, your sounds about right. There is always wedding insurance if you'r worried. Have along chat with the wedding organisers and get a real feel for them….research the venue and poss speak to previous brides…. trust your gut feeling. As for suppliers it can vary from 100% up front to payment on the day, our average was probably 25%.0
