ATOS scoring system

after being attacked and robbed at knifepoint twice in a 9 mth period , (off licence) I had to give up work , after a long wait I was sent for 20weeks of CBT therapy,


I was awarded ESA in feb last year , but after about 2 mths they asked to see me a second time , I had to fill forms in again , to be handed in 25/12/2013. my therapist filled the forms in quite well. still not heard from atos (no surprise)


received a letter (copy) from my therapist to my doctor.


pre therapy IAPT scores PHQ9, 22 GAD7 , 19 Phobic avoidance 15 work and social adjustment 30


impact of event scores 49 > 30


end of therapy PHQ9 , 11 GAD7, 10 Phobic avoidance 7 WSAS 17


in the event of ATOS overturning my claim , how do I configure the above numbers in order to challenge this

Is this new information that wasn't available at the time of completing your form?

It is unlikely that anyone would be qualified to interpret these scores as they refer to a specific data collecting 'exercise'.

I think your best approach is to ask your therapist to write an accompanying letter to explain this data in relation to the descriptors detailed in your ESA form.

I would then send the letter and data to be used as part of your claim. You could phone and ask to whom it should be sent and what other details you need to include (NI number/contact details etc) Keep a copy and telephone them in, say, a week, to check that they have it.

yes this data has just been received since completing the 20 weeks therapy, the form to atos (25/12/2014) was expertly filled in by my therapist ,some of the words I did not understand , or to come to it spell!


like a lot of other people I do not know what the hell is happening with atos (yes I read those forums and the press) , and like others I am in limbo


Atos/DWP have been contacted by a friend (paperwork by 24/12/2014) and they just keep saying there is a backlog etc etc , this was before the feb 20th date and again this morning.
