Toyota Yaris Any Good?

Toyotas are generally pretty bullet proof, however because they have a reputation that they can take abuse and still run, check the car hasn't been neglected as the owner only replaces things when they go bang. I'd want a fully stamped verifiable service history, either by main dealer which can be checked on phone, or a nice big wallet of receipts.0

We bought an 8 year old one for my daughter to learn to drive in 3 years ago, and it still runs faultlessly, picked her up from uni last year, and did 530 miles in a day, fully laden coming back, didn't miss a beat, now has 100,000+ miles on it and still returns 45-50mpg and feels like it should do another 100,000 quite easily.
I had never been a fan of Japanese (French built!) cars, but this has swayed me, and I will probably go Toyota for mine next time, they are a bit boring, but almost totally reliable.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I bought my Yaris new 12 years ago, and I've had very little trouble with it. I've just had a new alternator fitted, and it's running like new again.
I can't praise my Yaris highly enoughEarly retired - 18th December 2014

The second car I ever owned was an 03 Yaris. Great car and have stuck with Toyota ever since. The only reason I got rid was requiring larger transport - longer commute. We've recently got an 09 plate one as a 2nd car and it's been great so far.
The Yaris is adaptable: the rear seats can be slid to provide more boot space. And we have a rear-facing child seat that leaves more room for the front passenger than my parents' Polo.
First car was a Nissan, since then it's been Toyota all the way."I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by."0
