tried via direct nme (new signup), but not letting me past profile update..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

I'm using Chrome, signed in ok, didn't get the profile update page, but it's not showing me a question.....

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one0 -
Ooh - I logged in with my NME userid and password (i.e. not Facebook), clicked on Edit to see my profile info, then Update Profile.
It complained as I hadn't put my password in so I closed the window.
And THEN the question appeared !
** Update - I don't think I refreshed the page (can't remember now)
And I'm using Chrome
No idea why it worked that way, but I entered before it changed its mind and hid the question again

I tried doing the following:
1. Opened the link in this thread.
2. Clicked 'login'
3. A window popped up for me to put in my username and password. So I did.
4. The popup disappeared and I only had the question page open.
5. I clicked 'edit' at the top.
6. A window popped up, for me to edit my profile.
7. I clicked 'update' without putting in my password.
8. It complained.
9. Close that popup window leaving me with only the question page again.
It didn’t work for me, have I got anything wrong? Did you have to refresh or anything like that.
p.s. I tried the above in Firefox, Opera, IE and Chrome.0 -
After logging in, try putting a / on the end of the URL

Doesn't work for me either and that's after trying Liz's and One-eye's solutions. Even logging in with FB doesn't show the form
