It seems that the 2 companies getting the publicity are not doing very well at all.
Sentinel are useless at getting things done and can never in fact do so properly and take ages to deal with anything and we all know what CPP were up to.
Is there any company that is reliable and do give a good service ?
Help !

IMO, the most reliable Card Protection is ... you.
How many cards do you normally have on you? Is it really worth paying someone for making 2-3 phone calls on your behalf?0 -
For my cards I keep a password protected note on my google account that has my card details along with contact numbers for the providers. If my wallet is lost or stolen I can access the note from my mobile, if that gets stolen I can access the note anywhere I can get internet access.
Note also has other important contact numbers such as insurance company.
I always leave a spare set of house keys with relative so I can at least get in my house if I lose them, and spare car keys are locked away in the wall safe.
I also keep scanned copies of driving license, passport, car registration and other important documents just in case.
I can't see any reason to pay someone to do this, and my home/motor insurance will cover certain losses such as lock changes.0 -
Who is saying that Sentinel can't do it? When I had my wallet stolen in Barcelona they were very efficient at contacting my card issuers to get them cancelled, and their insurance paid for a replacement wallet with no arguments. Whether a service is worth paying for at all is a moot point, but I have no issues with what Sentinel did for me.0

I accept and agree up to a point with agrinall. They can do the replacement thing ok but it takes them absolutely forever to deal with the paperwork and get the up to date lists back to you.
They make promises but never keep them so they have to regarded as unreliable ....which for items that are supposed to be secure, is in my view........ unsafe.
But there does not appear to be any other organisation that does this sort of thing or is there ?Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
Most changes for Sentinel can be done yourself online, and I never really had any significant delay when it was entirely paper based. Perhaps you've just been unlucky with them.0

Does anyone know if Sentinel have ceased trading? I have tried to contact them over the last week or so to no avail. The website has disappeared and if you call the phone number you go through the security questions and then it cuts off.0
-
Their web site is there. I just logged in and checked my account.
The web site is sentinelgold.co.uk0 -
There probably aren't any other companies because most people find its a waste of money. I can't really see the benefit myself.0

There is no person who has the level of motivation that you do.
Can't you look after your own stuff?
It's not hard to write a list and very expensive form of outsourcing, when all you have to do it write a few numbers down.0 -

I have such stuff (not just CC info) in an email which I have sent myself. 95% of the time I am somewhere where I can access internet so could pick up the email to get the details.
I exclude security related stuff - eg PINs, CVVs etc.0
