Nissan Almera Central Locking issue

Hi, I wondering if anyone can help.

The remote central locking on the car has stopped working.

The central locking itself works as I can centrally lock the car when sat in it via the button on the drivers door.

The central locking doesn't work (it's not supposed to) when the key is used to open the passenger door (which has the only key entry point on the car)

I've replaced the battery in the fob, i've even replaced the fob itself but I cannot get the new key to programme with the car despite using the correct programming sequence as per the instructions on various Nissan forums, I have changed the printed circuit board within the key fob but again nothing.

I've checked the fuse boxes but I cannot see from the diagrams where the correct fuse would be, nothing stands out as being for the central locking.

The only thing I suppose it could be now is the receiver. Unfortunately I have no idea where it is.

Does anyone have any advice before I bite the bullet and pay through the nose by going to Nissan.
