Co-op pet insurance

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience of using The Co-operative for pet insurance?
They're one of the contenders in my search for a new policy (dog currently with AXA, who are withdrawing from the pet insurance market..debating sticking with them or jumping ship while I can!)
They come in at the best price for the lifetime, high(ish) cover policies so far, but they also offer the lowest cover I've looked at, at only £5000 (everything else has been £7000+)
I can't see anything hugely worrying in the small print so far (e.g. I know some will exclude issues like cruciate ligament problems completely) but will finish scouring them today.
Would love to know the usual sorts of things - are they slow/quick to pay out, do they tend to quibble over claims, are vets happy to deal direct, do premiums skyrocket in year two (I've taken into account the 20% first-year discount) and so on.
