You need to point the installer to the the Nvidia chipset drivers on a USB stick. So download the chipset drivers (see post #7) and extract these to a USB stick. Leave the USB stick in during the startup of Windows installation so the installer detects it.

At the screen "Where do you want to install Windows?" there is an option on the bottom left which says "Load Driver". Click this and browse to where you extracted the ZIP file.

If you're installing 32-bit Windows, use the 1612_v32 folder, otherwise use the 1612_v64. From there, navigate to IDE, WinVista then try either sata_ide or sataraid.
    Thanks, I'll try that.

    Hi Hansi,

I sent a query to Asus about the M2N-CM-DVI motherboard and the reply was"Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.
My name is john and it is my pleasure to help you with your problem.

I'm afraid to tell you this motherboard do not support Win 7."

    Sorry.

    Sorry.

That doesn't make any sense. Why would Windows 7 not work with it?

This fellow seems to think he's installed Windows 7 to the same motherboard anyway.

He's having sound problems, but not installation problems.

And there are loads of places offering Windows 7 drivers for it.
(I'll not post a link as I'm not sure how legitimate they are)

ETA: If you haven't already, run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see what it says.
