This afternoon the link for sending free texts from the Orange website for Orange mobile customers has disappeared. Can anyone find it or has this benefit disappeared by Orange becoming EE? Orange website still exists but then clicking thru you end up on the EE website and the 30 free texts seem to be no longer available.

Ok here's your answer, it's still there & works (tried & tested).
Your correct in that there's no link showing for Web SMS for Personal customers in "my account" however it's still on Small Business under "your plan & upgrade options" then "text via the web".

That said, both types of "Orange" customer can access via:
    https://services.orange.co.uk/sms/

Your lucky I made a note of it some years ago, because it was a pain to get directly to then. (I believe it works for Pay & Go too, provided you've registered your number online for account access).

  • I contacted the executive office and they said "This facility has now been removed due to its lack of use. The majority of customers now have price-plans that include unlimited text messages and we found this service to be receiving fewer users over time. Therefore, a business decision was made to remove it."

Lol...obviously they either dont know that it still exists or dont want anyone to find it.

    Probably after they read this....
