hi my bank phoned the wife and said they found a loan I paid ppi on in 1998 but say they don't know if I repaid it so can I proof that I repaid it because their records don't go back that far only to 2002 iam still with them and had 2 or 3 loans since then they wouldn't have given me if I hadn't paid it back anybody got any advice on how i can prove i repaid it i know my records dont go back that far also we didnt contact them it was them who contacted us about it

Doesn't sound legitimate at all. I hope you didn't give them any Bank Account details...
Never give personal information to cold-calling strangers on the telephone.
Are you sure this was not in reply to a PPI complaint you may have made?0 -
hi it wasn't cold calling it was from my bank I checked to see if it was them who called0

Why do they want to know if you repaid it or not. If you don't know, ask them.
It all seems a bit suss to me.
What is also suss is that they spoke to your wife about your financial business ???? You need to complain about that one.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
