Nationwide FlexDirect to FlexAccount?

Now that my FlexDirect 5% deal has ended can I convert it to a FlexAccount account, for the travel insurance, on-line, or will I need to open a new one?

Also does moving my £2500 from my account to my wife's new FlexDirect account count as new money or should I put it through my Halifax account?

I called and have to visit a branch, cannot do it by telephone.

Why say it can be done by telephone when it can't.

At least I found a freephone number.

That takes 2 bus trips and 1.5 hours of my time. :eek:
I have never been in a Nationwide branch before.:(

I called up this morning and changed down from a Flexdirect to a Flexaccount. It took just over 11 mins the call lasted, I used the free phone number 0800 302010

I must have got an unhelpfull person.

I might try again, maybe my problem was I never set up telephone banking so the automatic system sent me to a woman who was probably not feeling helpful.

Just got off the phone, all changed.

The person I got this morning must have got out of the wrong side of her bed.

Got FlexDirect changed to Flex Account over the phone. Had to listen through the entire speil for about 15 min but now all done. Now hopefully some switch and cashback offer comes along
