Washing machine help

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I put a load of washing into the machine and accidentally included a paper table cloth. When the cycle finished tnere was flecks of paper on everything. Question is, how do I get rid of tne paper fromboth the clothes and the machine ? I tried another wash but can't get rid of the paper.

Some may come off in the dryer if you have one. And then wash and dry again.

I do this far too often so I know that depending on the material it comes off eventually.

Giving the clothes a couple of goes in a tumble dryer as misprice mentions should get rid of most of the bits.

Any still left should be easily removable by wearing a ribbed rubber glove & running hand down clothes to push flecks off. Sometimes a slightly damp glove works better. Or try one of the velcro type brushes, which are very good for this sort of thing.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • Thanks for the advice. After getting a b********g from SWMBO, we managed to get most of it off by brushing with a nylon pot scourer - seemed to work well. Lost all my brownie points by trying to be helpful !

Seriously my OH laughs everytime he puts the washing out on the line. He always shows me a pocket inside out filled with mushy paper. It so common a thing to do, but the birds like it to line their nest.:p
