I noticed last night when I was playing some youtube videos and the sound on the videos sounded very crackley. I tried several other videos and they all had the same crackles.
I then played a movie which was saved on my nexus and that played fine! I have looked on google but I'm not really sure what i'm looking for?
Is this more of a problem with the software as if it was a hardware would it not affect all videos?

Could be the site or your internet connection.
Did you try another site .
Is the playback the same today .
As you played a video ok from the device its almost certain to be the site or your internet connection .0 -

You need to download a video to the device and play it from there - that will eliminate any problems with your internet connection
I suggest that you either download a suitable video to your PC and transfer it to the nexus by cable or download directly (there are many sites that allow this - but take care which you choose)
Was the video OK ?0 -
